Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. ~ Mayo Clinic
We've never lived in a time of such rapid change! Technology, work, economies, demographics, populations, apps, social media, food prices… it’s all changing! For thousands of years our societies and technologies evolved relatively slowly. Then, at the turn of the last century, things began to pick up speed, literally, the combustion engine, antibiotics, plane travel, space travel, information travel... Now, we live in a world for which our minds and bodies have not caught up! This evolutionary schism and resulting stress are a leading cause of human break-down, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. If we are to evolve with the times we’ll have to do some things differently. We will have to become more discriminating with how we process and absorb information and technology. The practices of meditation, mindfulness, and yoga are designed to expand our capacity to be in the world, regardless of change, in a more harmonious way. These practices help us disassociate from all the noise, so we’re not taking everything personally, and we’re not identifying with every opinion or bright shiny object that comes down the pike! They give us mental space, calmness, and room to breathe more freely. The benefits of these practices are quite profound. Here’s a good article from the Mayo Clinc. If you are interested in exploring further, or know of someone who could benefit from relaxation, stress relief, or mindfulness practices please reach out to me. I’d love to help. All the best and Love always, Greg
